The Rainy River Future Development Corporation will work cooperatively and pro-actively to promote fair and equitable partnerships, open communication, and community learning in the pursuit of regional economic development. The RRFDC works closely with all District municipal governments, First Nations, and other organizations involved in forwarding the District's economy.
The corporation continues to work towards economic diversification through such projects as the Fort Frances Economic Development Office, which has continued to advance activities related to the digital economy, mining supply and services, marketing, and forestry.
Our main activities in the west Rainy River District continue to diversify the region's economy through partnerships with area businesses, continued upgrading our infrastructure such as telecommunications, and the continued expansion of the area's agricultural sector expansion through such projects as tile drainage installation, land clearing, and the development of our hops yard.
